Jonathan Lebed was born on September 29, 1984, and was an American notorious for using the Internet for a stock market scam. According to the reports of SEC he was artificially raising the stock price.
The SEC under Arthur Levitt had prosecuted Lebed. In 2001 an out of court negotiation was made between Lebed and the SEC settled, in which Lebed forfeited $285,000 in profit and interest he had made on 11 trades without admitting any wrongdoing which allowed him to keep close to half a million dollars.
